Not here for the subsidy?

Declined for a home loan? That is a starting point, not a verdict.

The Personal Trainer programme repairs your credit record and score over 6 to 24 months, then walks you into the finance you were turned away from. No dead ends.

    How the programme works

You do the training. We set the plan, watch the record, and open the door when the numbers are right.

    Step 1

Complete the sign-up form. This is the gate for everything that follows, including any legal work on your record.

    Step 2

    Get assessed

Pull your free Experian report on Up and send it with your statements and payslips. Your trainer reads it and sets your window.

    Step 3

    Train monthly

Clear negatives, settle what needs settling, keep every account current. Your trainer tracks the record with you each month.

    Step 4

    Apply for finance

When the record supports it, we submit your application, or route you into Rent2Buy while the score catches up.

What could you afford once you are ready?

Move the sliders. This is an indication only; the bank's affordability rules and rate at the time apply.

    Indicative purchase price
    R 0
Instalment the bank may allow (30% of gross)R 0
    Less current debt repaymentsR 0
    Less Personal Trainer feeR 250
    Instalment availableR 0
Plus indicative FHF subsidy (income band)—
Today's debt repayments eat your instalment. Settling them during training is what grows this number.

The subsidy is delinked. So why fix the record at all?

Because a subsidy is a deposit, not a home. Three things only your credit record can do:

    Afford

    Finance the balance

Very few homes cost only the subsidy. The rest is a bond or an instalment sale, and that is decided on your record.

    Protect

    Keep the home you bought

A subsidy spent on a home you then lose to arrears is the worst outcome of all. Training builds the habits that keep the asset yours.

    Best deal

    Pay less every month

The cleaner the record, the better the rate. On a 20-year bond, a point or two of interest is worth more than the subsidy itself.

Two ways up the mountain, and you do not have to pick now

Training gets you to the same summit either way. Your trainer tells you which route your record supports as it improves.

    Conventional bond

Once the negatives are cleared and the score holds, we originate your home loan with the banks and claim any First Home Finance subsidy you qualify for.

    • Shortest route if your record is close
    • Full ownership on registration
    • Bond origination at no cost to you

    Rent2Buy (instalment sale)

Move into the home now under an instalment sale agreement while you keep training. Ownership transfers when the bond is approved.

    • Live in the home while the score catches up
    • Regulated under the Alienation of Land Act
    • Subsidy released on recordal of the agreement

Both routes start with the same sign-up. The programme is what makes either one possible.

One fee. Budget it like a gym membership.

The plan only works if the fee is part of the plan. That is why we ask you to write it into your monthly budget on day one.

What you do, what we do

Credit providers answer their own customers immediately. Third-party requests take weeks. That is why the document collection sits with you.

    You

    • Register on Experian Up (up.experian.co.za) and download your free report.
    • Collect paid-up letters and statements directly from your credit providers or debt counsellor.
    • Dispute anything you disagree with on Experian and send us the dispute reference.
    • Send everything to your trainer in one batch, by email or WhatsApp.
    • Keep every account current for the whole training window.

    My Bond Fitness team

    • Assess what you send and set your written training window.
    • Track your record monthly and adjust the plan when it moves.
    • Refer legal work on prescribed debt or wrongful listings to the attorneys.
    • Meet with you at each milestone once you are signed up.
    • Submit the finance application when the numbers are right.

Questions people ask before signing up

    Is it really 24 months?

No. Your bureau read sets the window, and it can be as short as six months if your listings are minor and your accounts are current. Twenty-four months is the outer edge, not the default.

Does paying my rent or Rent2Buy instalment on time lift my score?

Not by itself. Rent and instalment sale payments are not reported to the credit bureaux. Your score moves when negatives are cleared and your reported accounts, such as store cards, cellphone contracts and loans, are paid on time. That is exactly what the training targets.

The subsidy no longer needs an approved home loan. Do I still need this?

Yes, for a different reason than before. First Home Finance is delinked from loan approval, so you can apply for it now. But the subsidy covers part of the price. Financing the rest, holding onto the home, and getting a good rate all depend on your credit record. That is what the training is for.

Why must I sign up before the attorneys look at my record?

Sign-up is the gate. The legal work on prescribed debt and listings only makes sense inside a plan that keeps the record clean afterwards, so the attorneys work with clients on the programme.

I am under debt review. Can I still join?

Yes. Your trainer maps the path to a clearance certificate and what happens to your record after it, and plans the finance application around that date.

Will I be put on a housing waiting list?

A pre-qualification is not a waiting-list placement. Existing applications are worked through first. Use the interim to gather your documents so you do not lose ground when your file is placed.

What if I want to cancel?

The programme is month to month. Cancel by messaging your trainer; there is no lock-in.
